Financial Planner

Recruit Wealth are partnered with a well-established, FCA regulated Financial Planning business with over 36 years of heritage.

They provide bespoke, independent advice across pensions, investments, estate planning and mortgages.

Excitingly, due to increased client demand, they now seek to recruit for a client-focused, competent and well qualified Financial Planner to join their growing Cambridge team.

This is a stand out opportunity for an experienced individual, servicing inherited on-going client relationships within a supportive, professional and collaborative environment.

As an experienced Financial Planner you will hold :

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in advising private clients on pensions, investments, retirement planning and estate planning.
  • Preferably Chartered status (CII), however support is provided if not already held.
  • A keen user of technology, with the ability to utilise cashflow modelling tools to demonstrate financial planning outcomes.
  • Proven ability to deliver tailored, compliant advice and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of investment solutions, tax-efficient planning and retirement strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to identify and develop business opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver regulated advice across pensions, investments, estate planning, and wealth management.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals and recommending suitable, tailored solutions.
  • Proactively use cashflow modelling software to present and explain planning outcomes in a clear, client-friendly way.
  • Manage your own client portfolio, including reviews, ongoing advice, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s support teams to ensure efficient administration and reporting, freeing you to focus on client-facing work.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities, including referrals from existing clients and networking.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments, legislation, and guidance.
